Uma
Eye Clinic invites application from Ophthalmologists for fellowship
programmes in General Ophthalmology. The emphasis will be laid
on Phacoemulsification and Refractive Surgery.
Eligibility:
Young and dynamic Ophthalmologists with DO or DNB or MS Qualification.
Short
Term Fellowships:
Duration: 6 months.
The fellow will be trained in General Ophthalmology. Hands on
experience on using the varied equipments like the Digital Fundus
camera, OCT, Specular Microscopy, Orbscan, Abberometer etc will
be provided. The fellow will also be trained in Phaco emulsification
cataract surgery and also in Medical Retina.
Long
Term Fellowships:
Duration: 1 year.
The fellow will be asked to assist in various subspecialties
like Retina, Pediatric Ophthalmology, and Oculoplasty etc. Training
in Medical Retina, Hands on experience in using Fundus Camera,
OCT, Specular Microscope, Orbscan, Abberometer etc will also
be provided. The fellow will also be trained in Phaco emulsification
cataract surgery using the Sovereign Phaco System.
