Uma Eye Clinic, situated
at chennai has been doing yeomen service in eye care for the
last two decades. Uma eye clinic functions with experienced
and dedicated doctors. It has got, state of art technology and
facilities to deliver quality eye care to the people. What started
out as a one chamber clinic has now grown in size stature and
prestige to become one of the top five eye care facilities in
Chennai.
With facilities for diagnosing and managing all the common eye
disorders and some of the uncommon ones too, the clinic has
drawn patients from all over the country and proudly adding
from abroad too. The clinic uses state of the art equipment
for diagnosing and imaging every eye disease known, different
types of Laser machines for treating conditions pertaining to
the various parts of the eye, and of course the top of the line
phacoemulsification unit in the world.

Uma Eye Clinic conducts phacoemulsification training
for ophthalmologists. These doctors come from
both India and abroad. The duration of course or training
is tailor-made to suite individual requirements.
Conducting community service and education
programmes.
Under the able guidance of Dr.
Arul Mozhi Varman, Uma Eye Clinic became the only
clinic, be listed as best among the five hospitals in
the national survey conducted by Outlook - A popular
weekly magazine.
The Outlook - survey of India's best hospitals in an
affort to help the consumers seperate the wheat from
the chaff.
The findings are the result
of a rigorous five month long exercise undertaken by
a dozen researchers after quizzing 679 doctors around
the country on five parameters that the Outlook magazine
thought a quality hospital meet to Quality.

of British Standard Institution handed over the
prestigious ISO 9001 - 2000 certification to Mrs.
Uma Varman, Management Representative, Uma Eye Clinic
in the presence of Dr..Arulmozhi

Speaking about the certification Mrs. Uma Varman said
"The latest certification ensures the patient quality
treatment in set professional systems matching to the
international standards. The objective of the system is
to enhance the patient satisfaction, through professional
and flawless systems".
She has been ably supporting the growth of the clinic
in the administrative aspects and has successfully worked
towards obtaining ISO 9001 : 2000 Certification
for the clinic.

Our
Ventures :
To serve the society and the needy, Vision Foundation
was inaugrated as a trust through which various
camps, donations, free treatment and surgery are organised.
To top it all Uma Eye Clinic has started a state of the art
Lasik center. The Reya z-100 Laser Centre
has the Zyoptix z-100 Lasik machine which is available only
in a very few centers in the Country.
Rotary
Club of Madras - Vision Foundation Eye Bank and Cornea Services
has been inaugrated on February 23,
1996.
